London is a gastronomic United Nations. And
Londoners, insular in so many ways, are citizens of the world when it comes to food.

Cynics pretend that this is because the English have forgotten how to cook. Other countries have good food, they say, the English have good

If you're tired of life nowadays you can alwe to the theatre.
There are more than fifty to choose from in the centre of London alone. And that doesn't include the fringe. There are another fifty to choose to there.
The National Theatre is next door to the Royal Festival Hall, by Waterloo Bridge. The Royal Shakespeare Company is at the Barbican, near St. Paul's Cathedral. And the Royal Opera House 15 at Covent Garden. The rest are in the newspapers!
At any time there are classical plays, political plays, comedies, thrillers, experimental plays and always at least half a dozen musicals.
When you're tired of going to the theatre perhaps it's time to give life another try.
