One day a seventeen year old boy was rummaging in the cellar of his parent's house. In an old chest he came across a collection of unusual, small bottles and a bundle of documents tied in a scarlet ribbon.
Though he didn't know it at the time, the young Sam Lovat had stumbled on the secrets that were to become the overriding passion of his life.
Today Sam and his brilliant wife, Diana, run Lovat Perfumes, the fragrances that are beginning to be noticed in fashionable places. Their unlikely headquarters is a delightful shop and converted stables in the charming Oxfordshire village of Woodham.
All of their perfumes - Lovat 'Dawn'... Lovat 'Midnight'... Lovat "The Moment'... are adaptations of exotic recipes collected by a much-travelled ancestor in the silk trade.

Un día, un chico de diecisiete años se encontraba revolviendo en el sótano de la casa de sus padres cuando se encontró, en una vieja cómoda, una colección de extrañas botellitas y un fajo de documentos atados con una cinta escarlata.
